Children

Awana Clubs

Awana Clubs, for children age 3 thru Grade 6, are intended to immerse children in the Word of God. This is an intensive scripture memory program, which allows for parental participation throughout the child’s progression, using guided curriculum. The goal is to train children to know, love, and serve Christ, and to give opportunity to do this within their home and their church family. Club members receive regular recognition for their accomplishments, and are motivated with a variety of fun incentives, awards, team competitions, and games. Weekly meetings are designed to be fun and interactive while encouraging healthy and Godly relationships with one another, as well as with adult leaders.

  • Awana Clubs meet every Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:30 to 8:00.

Children’s Discipleship Classes

Because we believe knowledge of and the application of God’s Word to be foundational to the life of every believer, we remain committed to the systematic teaching of His Word.  To that end, age group appropriate Sunday morning Bible classes are provided for children age 2 – Grade 6.  This weekly teaching ministry, called Children Desiring God, uses published curriculum by the same name.  We believe this curriculum represents the most accurate theological and biblical perspective available, and that it is most consistent with our church’s doctrinal position as stated in our Statement of Faith.  We believe Children Desiring God to be a curriculum  that is God-centered, Bible-saturated, and Christ-exalting.  We also believe that it best allows parents and churches to work in partnership to instruct the mind, engage the heart, and nurture the faith of the next generation.

  • Classes meet from 9:15 – 10:15 every Sunday morning.

Children’s Church

Our children’s church ministry, for children age 3 thru grade 4, is intended to help children begin to make the transition to attending corporate worship services with family members and other children, youth and adults.  Attention is given to explanations of the various elements of a corporate worship service.  Gospel presentations are frequently given along with other biblical teaching for Christian growth that compliments the Discipleship Class experience.

  • Children will be dismissed for Children’s Church during the morning worship service in the worship center.  There is no Children’s Church the last Sunday of each month.
